
1. Eligibility: This is a Doubles and Trio Team Handicap Tournament that is open to all
Members of the United States Bowling Conference (USBC) whose rules and regulations shall govern this event. All Entrants must have a USBC Card. Team and Doubles Events can be all men, all ladies or mixed.

2. Participation: Multiple bowling will be allowed, however, for Doubles a bowler can only cash
once with the same partner per set in each event. For Team Events (3 members) bowlers can bowl an unlimited for submitting neatly completed Entry Forms which have verified averages for the 2023-2024 bowling season. All forms must be signed by the League Secretary. Failure to use the correct average will result in disqualification. The Team Captain must check in at least 30 minutes prior to the start of an event. For the Doubles event, either partner can check in for the pair.

3. Averages: Bowlers will use the previous season's (2023-2024) highest Winter Averages based only 21 or more games. If a bowler has no previous winter or summer league average, the highest current average as of January 1, 2025, of 21 or more games shall be used and league standing sheets as of 1/1/2025 must be submitted for verification. Bowlers without certified averages will use a 210 Scratch average and will receive no handicap. Bowlers must report if current average as of January 1, 2025, for at least 21 games is 10 or more pins higher than previous seasons standard league of 21 or more games. That average will be determined at the tournament description. The League or Association Secretary must verify averages.

4. Handicap: The Handicap will be 90% of the difference between a bowler's average and 210. A minimum average of 125 shall be used for handicapping purposes (maximum handicap of 256 per event).

5. Prize Fund: ALL BOWLERS MUST REPORT ANY EARNINGS RECEIVED FROM BOWLING IN A TOURNAMENT WITHIN THE PREVIOUS 12 MONTHS IF $300.00 OR MORE HAS BEEN WON. BOWLERS MUST SUBMIT NAME, SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, DATE SCORE WAS BOWLED, EXACT AMOUNT WON, NAME/ADDRESS OF THE CENTER WON IN AND THE EXACT SCORES.
*THIS INFORMATION MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE TOURNAMENT STAFF PRIOR TO THROWING THE FIRST BALL.

*Failure to report this information to Tournament Staff will lead to disqualification for the bowler and whomever they bowl with. This information will be reported to USBC per their requirements. Prize Fund winnings will be returned on a ratio of at least 1 in six for Doubles and Teams. All Events will be returned at a ratio of 1 in 10. Prize Fund will be paid within 30 days of the tournament closing date. However, according to USBC rules any situations such as re-rating, protests, disqualification etc may cause a delay in the distribution of prize money.

6. RE-RATING: All bowlers are subject to being re-rated in accordance with USBC Rule 319e. Bowlers must submit all required scores and prize earned from each tournament winnings PRIOR TO BOWLING. Tournament personnel reserves the right to re-rate the average of any bowler whose entering score does not reflect the bowlers ability.

7. Substitution: Substitutions will be authorized after completion of a substitution form by the Team Captain or an appointee. Substitutions should be made at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled bowling time. If no substitute is available only the actual score of the frames will be counted. No absent scores will be used.

8. Protests: Protests involving eligibility or playing rules must be made to the Tournament Manager within the time limits stated in Rule #329. The decision of the Tournament Management will be final unless a written appeal is filed with the USBC Headquarters within the time stated in Rule #329.

9. Premature Termination of the tournament brought about by war, National Emergency or emergency causes related to fire, natural disasters or other reasons beyond the control of JD's Annual bowling Classic Tournament shall be liable only to the number of entrants who have bowled.

10. Alibi's: Entrants may bowl with no more than three (3) bowlers consisting of the bowler and three (3) other Alibi partners per shifts. Doubles may consist of two (2) men, two (2) women or mixed. Fees: $30 per player with a maximum of three (3 ) Alibi partners at $10.00 each. Multiple participation is allowed EXCEPT FOR ALL EVENTS.

11. Once bowling begins NO CLEANING PRODUCTS CAN BE USED. See USBC RULE #18 Re: Altering Balls.
12. All events are based on your first (1st) set of Doubles and Team scores.

Employees of the Tournament will be allowed to bowl in the tournament and shall be eligible for all prizes.
The Tournament Director reserves the right to add shifts as necessary. However, no shifts will be added on the last day of the tournament.
